UFC featherweights Leonard Garcia and Cody McKenzie are both the type of fighters who care as much about entertaining fans as they do earning a win inside the Octagon. As such, perhaps it’s fitting the two talented competitors have been pegged to face off on December 29 at UFC 155 in a classic clash between striker/submission specialist.

UFC officials recently confirmed the match-up had been added to a lineup featuring Junior dos Santos defending his heavyweight title against Cain Velasquez in the headlining slot.

The 15-9-1 Garcia has been in a few “Fight of the Year” candidates throughout his career including those against Roger Huerta, Nam Phan, and Chan Sung Jung. Comparably, McKenzie holds an overall record of 13-3 with twelve wins by way of submission.
