Any fight-fans out there who like free stuff related to MMA?

If so, and I suspect there may be, on behalf of I'm proud to announce a new and interactive social media giveaway featuring all sorts of exclusive Topps MMA trading cards. As an avid sports card collector for over twenty years, I can attest to there being few things more exciting than acquiring cards of your favorite players, fighters or teams.

Over the next few events, we're going to be piloting a new giveaway system over Twitter. For future UFC events, starting this weekend, the site will be trying giving away something related to somebody fighting on the card that night. It could be an autograph, it could be a memorabilia card (a piece of the fighter's walkout shirt or shorts from a previous event,) or it could be a package of different cards.

We're going to kick off our giveaways with the help of a "Cowboy". To commemorate his fight on Saturday against Dennis Siver, this week's UFC 137 giveaway will be this 2011 UFC Finest Autograph of Donald Cerrone."

How do you enter these giveaways? It's simple. If you have a Twitter account, you're already eligible. Follow these accounts:

Fighters MMA: Follow (@FightersMMA) on Twitter
Me: Follow Matt Paligaru (@paliontology) on Twitter

Then,  when you see my event previews with a giveaway, Tweet me your main card predictions, and the way you see the MAIN EVENT ending (i.e. Jon Jones via KO). If you beat my picks, you win! If more than one person beats me, the tiebreaker is your main event fight ending. If there's still a tie, I'll take all the entrants and do a random draw.  (EXAMPLE - Roop - Curran - Nelson - Mitrione - Penn by Submission)

There's never any cost to enter or win, and it's our way of thanking you, the readers, for your continued support of what we do.

I hope to have more giveaway news, and possible partnerships as the weeks and months go by, both here, and on our other sites.

See you cageside!
