Masterful middleweight champion Anderson Silva can now add UFC Undisputed cover-athlete to his already impressive list of accolades in the sport. Making the distinction even more special in nature, Silva was selected by the public who was, for the first time, given the option of choosing any of the UFC’s current title-holders to fill the coveted spot.

“Silva possesses a tremendous work ethic and incredible prowess inside the Octagon, making him an excellent choice to serve as our cover athlete for the game,” explained THQ Executive VP Danny Bilson of the fans’ vote.

Silva’s success in the cage often appears to be something straight out of a video game, making his choice particularly appropriate, including highly memorable finishes of Vitor Belfort, Rich Franklin, and Forrest Griffin.
