According to multiple reports, Charles Oliveira has been forced out of the UFC 166 card in Houston, Texas. Oliveira was injured preparing for his bout with Jeremy Larsen when apparently strained a muscle in his thigh, and according to his coach won’t be able to fight for the remainder of the year. The UFC hasn’t made any announcements regarding the injured Oliveira and on whether or not a replacement will be named.

MMA Premium was the first to report the injury. UFC 166: Velasquez Vs Dos Santos III takes place on October 19 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main event will be the trilogy fight between current Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos. In the co main event, Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier will be taking on Roy Nelson.
