When the UFC returns to FOX in a few weeks, it will do so with a card featuring a quartet of intriguing offerings now including an already announced lightweight tilt between fan-favorite Joe Lauzon and former WEC champion Jamie Varner. The organization recently revealed the bout would be scheduled alongside other notable fights such as Lyoto Machida-Ryan Bader and headliner Mauricio Rua-Brandon Vera.

Lauzon is coming off a knockout loss to Anthony Pettis in February and will be hungry for a victory after having previously racked up a pair of consecutive wins. He holds an overall record of 21-7 with all of his triumphs involving some form of stoppage like those against Jeremy Stephens, Jens Pulver, and Melvin Guillard.

What Does It Take to Train Like Lauzon?

Comparably, Varner is a hot commodity at the moment after picking off ESPY nominee Edson Barboza in the opening round of their May match-up. He too has a penchant for finishing foes with eleven submissions and seven TKOs in twenty total wins.

UFC on FOX 4 is set for August 4 with prelims playing on Fuel TV.
