UFC star Chael Sonnen is 36-year old, has a blossoming career in broadcasting, and is coming off back-to-back losses. However, Sonnen is determined to continue competing and understandably so considering his consecutive defeats came against two of the top pound-for-pound fighters in MMA, champions Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.

The most likely opponent for Sonnen’s next scrap appears to be Wanderlei Silva based on a constant stream of smack-talk between the two dating back to a confrontation a few years back that’s recently heated up. Sonnen took aim at Silva again over the weekend while offering commentary on Fuel TV for UFC on FX 8, though didn’t go so far as to say the tilt was set in stone at this point.

“At some point, my skills will diminish and my athletic abilities will go down. And when they do, I'll either join the NFL or fight Wanderlei Silva. But at this point, I'm looking ahead and I don't know what's next,” said Sonnen.

The anticipated bout between Sonnen-Silva has been rumored to be taking place on August 17 in Boston at UFC on FS1.
