Ultimate Fighter winner Ross Pearson will look to continue his success at featherweight this summer when he faces WEC veteran Cub Swanson in Atlantic City, New Jersey as part of the lineup for UFC on FX 4. The bout will mark his second since dipping down to 145 pounds.

UFC on FX 4 is scheduled for June 22 and will be headlined by a five-rounder between highly touted lightweights Clay Guida and Gray Maynard.

News of the Pearson-Swanson bout was first reported by MMAWeekly.

The 27-year old Pearson is 4-2 since winning TUF 9 including victories over Spencer Fisher, Aaron Riley, and Dennis Siver. However, a decision loss last August prompted “The Real Deal” to give featherweight a go where he made a successful debut at UFC 141 by defeating Junior Assuncao.

Swanson should pose an interesting challenge for Pearson given his well-rounded attack. Holding an overall record of 16-5, Swanson has beaten five of his opponents via TKO with another seven falling by way of submission. He is coming off a knocking win over George Roop is his previous outing.
