While the Cesar Gracie team has been well represented with champions Gilbert Melendez and Nick Diaz standing at the top of their weight classes, perhaps one team has been overlooked.

Golden Glory fighters are coming in bunches into the Strikeforce organization, including former PRIDE star Sergei Kharitonov, the estranged Sengoku veteran Siyar Bahadurzada, and champions Alistair Overeem and the soon-to-be defending women's welterweight titleholder, Marloes Coenen.

The dynamic Dutch fighter will be returning to the cage this March when she takes on current number one contender, Miesha Tate.

Miesha Tate has since confirmed the anticipated match-up on her Twitter:

“It’s confirmed my fight is set for March 5th in Columbus OH vs Marloes Coenen for my shot at the Strikeforce 135lb title,” tweeted the future title challenger.

Tate earned her spot by recently participating in a four-woman welterweight tournament which was set in order to determine the next title challenger. Miesha defeated both Maiju Kujala and veteran Hitomi Akano on August 13 of last year, via unanimous decision.

Coenen recently captured the promotion's women's welterweight strap when she defeated the previously undefeated Sarah Kaufman, whom counts a win over the aforementioned Tate.

Marloes used her extensive kickboxing skills in order to pressure Sarah in for the takedown. An overzealous Kaufman unleashed a hellish barrage of ground-and-pound on the Golden Glory product. Coenen was calm and collected underneath, and almost immediately snatched up an arm-bar, cinching the victory with the submission two-minutes inside of the third-round. With the win last October, Marloes then became the new Strikeforce women's welterweight champion, handing Sarah her only career loss in 13 performances.

So, MMA peeps, what do you think of the upcoming match-up? The fight will be joining the "Strikeforce: Columbus" card which will is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight pitting champion Rafael "Feijao" of Black House taking on mixed martial arts royalty Dan Henderson.
