The Ultimate Fighter 13: Myles Jury injurs ACL; replaced by Chuck O'Neil on Team Lesnar

One of the top prospects of the welterweight field, Myles Jury, is now out of the competition. Tonight, the first episode of the thirteenth season of "The Ultimate Fighter" has wrapped up. Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar coaches opposite of Junior dos Santos a field of 14 welterweight hopefuls who will work there way through the competition to meet in the finals this June in Las Vegas to determine the next winner of the TUF series, who will battle for the six-figure UFC contract. An early favorite for the show in Jury, is now sidelined from the show during a freak injury and he has since been replaced. ...

Season 13 of the show, featuring coaches Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos, will soon be upon us. But for season fourteen, we may finally be getting a season devoted to the guys at 145 and 135. "The Ultimate Fighter" season 13 cast revealed
"The Ultimate Fighter" season 13 cast revealed

As the new season of "The Ultimate Fighter" approaches, a lot of people have heard different things. First, the upcoming Thirteenth season was to feature both a middleweight and welterweight field, however UFC officials have made this particular season an all welterweight cast, expelling some top level competitors who tried out in the higher weight-class, including DREAM and Strikeforce veteran Karlo Amousou and now soon-to-be UFC fighter Chris Weidman, to name a few. Now, the head honcho's of the largest mixed martial arts organization have revealed the full cast of welterweight's who will be featured on the upcoming season, which will be coached by heavyweight studs Junior dos Santos and former champion Brock Lesnar. ...

Ed Herman returns to face Tim Credeur at TUF 13 Finale
Ed Herman returns to face Tim Credeur at TUF 13 Finale

"The Ultimate Fighter" season three finalist and fan-favorite Ed Herman will soon be making his return to the octagon. "Short fuse" has been out of action since August of 2009 when he suffered a devestating knee injury in a bout with former middleweight contender Aaron Simpson at UFC 102 in his old stomping grounds of Portland, Oregon. Now fully rehabilitated, Herman will be making his return to the cage this June as he takes on fellow TUF veteran Tim Credeur. ...

Scott Jorgensen makes his UFC debut this June against Ken Stone at "The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale"

One of the best fighters to come out of the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, Scott Jorgensen is UFC bound, and will be making his promotional debut this June. The former title challenger was last seen in action on the losing side of an uninspired unanimous decision against current bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz this past December for WEC 53 in Glendale, Arizona. The show marked the promotion's last event before becoming assimilated with it's sister promotion in the UFC, which has since adopted both the bantamweight and featherweight classes. ...

Josh Grispi vs. George Roop targeted for "The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale"

An anticipated featherweight showdown is beginning to take shape. Josh Grispi will hope to make an impressive showing in his second outing with the UFC as he takes on "The Ultimate Fighter" veteran in George Roop, come this June. Grispi was touted as a huge factor in the featherweight division following his assimilation into the organization after the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion was merged with the UFC. However, he showed little of the talent he displayed in the defunct organization when he was deftly defeated by the unheralded Dustin Poirier upon his octagon debut this past January. He will now have a second-chance to impress. ...

Abe Wagner upsets former UFC champ Tim Sylvia via KO
Abe Wagner upsets former UFC champ Tim Sylvia via KO

Tim Sylvia was one his way back to the big show. Following a four-fight win streak with a notable win over former title challenger Paul Buentello during this stretch, "The Maine-iac" was poised to make a big return to the big show in the immediate future. I guess Abe Wagner didn't get the memo, as he took the opportunity last night to pull off the biggest win of his career and instantly put his name on the map amongst the heavyweight field. ...

Coaching opposite of Brock Lesnar in TUF is next best thing for Junior dos Santos, aside from title shot

When Junior dos Santos first heard that current titleholder Cain Velasquez was injured from his bout with Brock Lesnar in October of last year, he was a little peeved, to say the least. He lashed out very publicly in the media, claiming that the new champion sustained no damage in his fight with Lesnar and is stalling--which was later disproved with the torn rotator cuff that Velasquez later had subsequent surgery on that would sideline the American Kickboxing Academy product for approximately 6-8 months. However now, cooler heads have prevailed. He may not exactly have his number contenders spot secured at the moment, however he does have two very interesting opportunities ahead of him. Junior will have the chance to coach the ultra-popular reality series "The Ultimate Fighter", and will be facing the largest pay-per-view draw in former champ Brock Lesnar later this Summer, both of which have helped satisfy the fan-favorite dos Santos. ...

Anthony Pettis vs. Clay Guida set to headline "The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale" in June

A previously announced lightweight fight will now have a home as WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will meet with surging contender Clay Guida in June. The two men are tentatively rumored to be headlining "The Ultimate Fighter" season 14 finale, which is scheduled for the The Pearl at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on June 4. Pettis was promised his shot at the UFC lightweight title upon his arrival from the organization's sister promotion, World Extreme Cagefighting--which has since been merged with the UFC in order to incorporate the lighter weight classes into the juggernaut organization. ...

Andre Galvao a no go for "The Ultimate Fighter"
Andre Galvao a no go for "The Ultimate Fighter"

After reportedly being a lock for the upcoming season of "The Ultimate Fighter", it looks like Andre Galvao will not be joining the cast after all. The budding welterweight prospect had long been rumored to appear on the show, with TATAME.com reportedly citing both Galvao and middleweight fighter Vitor Vianna as "locks" for the upcoming thirteenth season of the reality show. However, after both Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos were reported as the coaches for the upcoming season, it was also revealed that the cast will solely consist of a welterweight field, and Galvao independently confirmed later that he got neither a call nor an email about a possible run for the TUF series. ...

Many fans are looking past the season entirely and focusing on the inevitable clash of the two coaches. But me? Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir appear more likely to coach the next season of "The Ultimate Fighter"

Brock Lesnar is a man of few words. He doesn't like cameras, he doesn't like attention, so a coaching stint on the next season of "The Ultimate Fighter" would seem like the furthest thing from reality...but it could very well be happening soon. Recently rumors have circulated concerning the next season of TUF, as far as who will take up the coaching slots. Fighters ranging from Wanderlei Silva, Chael Sonnen, Urijah Faber, and Dominick Cruz have all been discussed as possible candidates to coach the upcoming field of welterweight/middleweight fighters, however all signs point to former champions Lesnar and arch rival Frank Mir. ...

No TUF, No Problem: Wanderlei Silva Would Still Glady Fight Chael Sonnen

Despite the fact that an official announcement was supposed to be made sometime last week, the thirteenth season of the popular UFC reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter” remains without coaches at the time of this article's release. For quite some time it was rumored that Wanderlei Silva would coach opposite Chael Sonnen, building on the fireworks seen in a classic encounter between the two. It’s now been confirmed that neither Silva nor Sonnen will be a coach for TUF Season 13, but if “The Axe Murderer” had his way, he’d meet Chael Sonnen anyway. In fact, Silva recently threw down the gauntlet in a new interview. Here are all the details. ...

As the ufc continues its rapid international expansion, more and more countries seem to be putting in their bids for an exclusive version of the UFC’s popular reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter”. The reasoning behind this country vs. country “TU(r)F War” is very sound and very simple: TUF is widely regarded as one of the major events that brought the UFC into the mainstream in the United States, and it’s remained on television with consistently-good ratings for a ridiculous amount of time. And the latest rumor surrounding TUF’s international expansion focuses on the possibility of a “Team UK vs. Team Australia” season. Here are all the details. ...

Demian Maia has trained with Wanderlei Silva and "Shogun" prior to "The Ultimate Fighter 12" finale

I feel great. I hope I'm ready, because there's no more time (left). Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Demian Maia looks for his third win in his last four fights when he takes on "The Ultimate Fighter" season three winner, Kendall Grove. Maia was last in action when he competed against the always tough Mario Miranda, who stands as only the second man to third man to go the distance with Demian inside the UFC. At the culmination of their August middleweight bout, Maia walked away with a clear-cut decision victory. Now, heading into his match up with the Hawaiian Grove, Demain switched things up a bit in the last week leading up to the fight in hopes to gain a competitive edge in this pivotal 185-pound fight. ...

A Featherweight/Bantamweight Edition of "The Ultimate Fighter" May Be Postponed... With Good Reason?

Ready for a little sincere honesty, fans and friends? I know you are. So here it is: I’m a completely unabashed and unapologetic fanboy when it comes to Featherweight and Bantamweight fighters. I’ve vocally supported them in the past, I’ll continue to do so, and on more than one occasion I’ve pushed hard on the idea of a Bantamweight and Featherweight version of “The Ultimate Fighter”, even going as far as to say that a 145/135 version of TUF would likely have some of the best fights ever seen in the history of the program. So, as you could imagine, it would take a whole lot to convince me that a version of TUF featuring Bantamweight and Featherweight fighters should be postponed. But UFC President Dana White may have done just that in a recent interview. ...
