When you’re a ufc fighter, there’s only one way to stay a UFC fighter: by winning fights. The UFC will give entertaining fighters some leeway if they lose in exciting, show-stealing bouts… but eventually, their clock will run out. And in the UFC, the dreaded three-fight losing-streak has become the unofficial standard for the UFC releasing fighters. Recently, it’s been revealed that the UFC has released both John Howard and Andre Winner, both of whom lost their three most-recent fights. Here are all the details. ...
So, how successful was “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”? If you’re judging solely on the quality of the show, there seems to be a very mixed reaction from most of the MMA fanbase. But what about pure dollars and cents? How much money did Anthony Ferguson receive for achieving his dream, what did Anthony Pettis score for his ufc debut? And who’s going to be on the sidelines with injuries? Here’s all that and more in one giant heaping helping: here are the live gate and attendance numbers, the traditional post-fight award bonuses, the medical suspensions, and the official salaries of “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...
Hello once more fans and friends and welcome to another new edition of “Best of the Rest”! I really enjoy taking the time to give my detailed thoughts on a show after watching it, but after the serious discussion and debate I’ll raise in topics like “Top 5 Best Moments” and “Best Performance of the Night”, I think it’d be nice to have a tongue-in-cheek topic where I give out some other “awards”. It’s all in good fun, so don’t take any of it too seriously. So let’s dive right into this latest edition, now featuring “The Ultimate Fighter 13” Finale. ...
It’s that time once again, fans and friends. Another major MMA event has come and gone, and it’s time for my unofficial “Best Performance of the Night” award. Unfortunately, many of the fights of “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale” would end up going to a decision. Although some were good fights, the event suffered from a distinct lack of exciting finishes. But one finish was not only very exciting, but allowed us to see a man realize his dream. Here’s why Tony Ferguson’s huge KO win to become the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13 took home “Best Performance of the Night”. ...
After a rather long “Spring Slump” that saw only a handful of MMA events, the UFC came roaring into June with several high-profile fights, free shows, and Pay-Per-View events. But the UFC’s first major event of the super-cramped month of June, “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”, failed to live up to most expectations, although I’d hesitate to call it a bad event. And which stars shined brightest, and what moments will fans be talking about in the following weeks? Here’s my take on the matter: my top 5 best moments of “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...
“The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale” was certainly an interesting event… although not for the best of reasons. It was a night filled to the brim with decision wins, some of which were either average at best or very uneventful. And now once again it’s time to ask: what’s next? What does the future hold now that Tony Ferguson has stepped up to the main stage while Clay Guida has now been branded “Lay” Guida? Here’s my answer to just that: a new edition of my “What’s Next for the Winners and Losers” series of articles, now featuring “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...
With the conclusion of “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale” came a very mixed bag of feelings. The free ufc event on Spike TV was preceded by more free fights on Facebook. All of the “TUF 13 Finale” fights, every single one of them, had a decent-to-great amount of potential. But in the end, the event saw bad fights, average fights, and only a few good fights. Here are all the results as well as some commentary on “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...
I have to admit, fans and friends, I was a little let down by the news that today’s “Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale” event wouldn’t feature any free preliminary fights. I understand that “Prelims LIVE” specials are usually reserved for big Pay-Per-Views, but still, I’ve gotten many hours of enjoyment out of watching the ufc free on Facebook. Much to my surprise, the UFC recently made an eleventh-hour announcement that all six preliminary fights from today’s show will indeed air live on Facebook. Here are all the details. ...
We’re now only a few days away from “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. In the main event, perennial UFC Lightweight contender Clay Guida faces the last man to hold the WEC Lightweight Championship, Anthony Pettis. The co-main event will also be an interesting match-up, as Ramsey Nijem takes on Tony Ferguson to crown the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13. As is customary, here is my official “picks and predictions” post (covering who I think will win and why), now featuring “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...
On June 4, 2011, the UFC will hold its highly-anticipated “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale” event, featuring Anthony Pettis vs. Clay Guida and Tony Ferguson vs. Ramsey Nijem. Still, some fans may be asking themselves: what are the best reasons to check out this card? Here’s my answer to just that: 5 reasons to watch “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale”. ...

With two quarterfinals left, the tumultuous TUF 13 rolls into its ninth week. Let’s get started. ...
“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13 is, at best, a learning experience. At worst, it’s a firm reminder that all that glitters is not gold, and that the UFC Juggernaut can be breached. Last week, TUF Season 13 recorded an very low 1.0 million viewers, a far cry from the average 1.7 million that watched Season 12. Recently, the ratings for this week’s episode have been released, and while it’s an improvement, it falls right back in line with the series’ average, which as always is much lesser than was originally expected. Here are all the details. ...

Last week on TUF, we saw the end of the opening round as Team Lesnar’s Chuck O’Neil won the “Wild Card” fight and brought Team Lesnar to an even 4-4 with Team Junior dos Santos. With not one but two quarterfinals set for tonight’s episode, which team will pull ahead, and which fighters will begin to pull away from the pack and establish themselves as early favorites? Let’s find out as we dive into the latest edition of “TUF Talks”. ...

Let’s find out by diving right into the latest edition of “TUF Talks”. ...
The thirteenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” has been plagued with up-and-down ratings, and that’s not a hyperbole. Many fans and insiders anticipated that the show would make at least one big splash and pull at least one huge rating thanks to Brock Lesnar’s involvement, since Lesnar remains one of the most controversial and highest-drawing athletes in the UFC. However, several issues have caused TUF 13 to fall far short of expectations, and the bad news just keeps on coming. Read on for all the details. ...

With this week’s episode, TUF Season 13 is now six episodes deep. With Coach Brock Lesnar and his team back in the winner’s circle, it’s now time for the final two opening-round bouts of TUF 13. Who will win, and which two fighters will go on to be this season’s wild card participants? Let’s find out with a new edition of “TUF Talks”. ...
Why has season thirteen of the popular UFC reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter” fallen relatively flat in the ratings? The show seems to be picking up, and its ratings were never all that bad when put into context, but certainly the numbers have been disappointing for a show tethered to the strength of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar’s massive drawing power. Never one to mince words, UFC President Dana White recently gave his own personal opinion on why TUF Season 13 hasn’t measured up to expectations. Here are all the details. ...
Hello once again fans and friends and welcome back to another weekly edition of “TUF Talks”. “TUF Talks” is my weekly rundown and recap of the latest episode of the long-running, popular UFC reality TV series “The Ultimate Fighter”. With the morale of Team Lesnar dropping by the minute, can Coach Brock Lesnar do anything to salvage his team’s fading chances? Let’s find out by diving right into the latest edition of “TUF Talks”. ...
It’s been a rather interesting thirteenth season of the popular and long-running UFC reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter”. I think this season will be viewed as a learning experience at the very least. Built almost solely around the drawing power of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, TUF 13 premiered to mediocre numbers and actually lost viewers at one point. Now the latest ratings information is in, and it appears that TUF 13 is settling in at 1.3 million average viewers per episode. Here are all the details. ...

Read on to find out. ...
Despite being the underdog heading into his bout with Len Bentley, Ryan McGillivray acted like anything of the sort. Everything Ryan does is for his daughter. Despite having missed some pivotal moments in her life, like her first steps or her second-birthday, McGillivray hopes that his stint on this season of "The Ultimate Fighter" will benefit her life just as much, if not more, than it would benefit his own. So when Ryan had the opportunity to take out Brock Lesnar's number one pick, he took it by the horns and did the impossible in defeating Bentley, regaining control for Team Dos Santos, headed by current UFC contender Junior dos Santos. ...
Number one pick Len Bentley was poised from the beginning to be one of the leading candidates to take the whole show. With a record of 9-4 overall, with some big show experience under his belt, Bentley put himself in a class of his own when he entered onto the thirteenth season of "The Ultimate Fighter", and it showed. As mentioned, he was the number one pick for Team Lesnar, which was headed by the former UFC heavyweight champion in Brock. A strong wrestler with heavy hands, Bentley would be a bad match-up against just about everyone he went up against. Lesnar and the fellow coaches felt that a bout with Ryan McGillivray would be the path to least resistance for Bentley, which would later become a big mistake. ...
“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13 is now two episodes in, and the news honestly isn’t looking nearly as good as I’m sure everyone was hoping. Even with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and knockout machine Junior dos Santos squaring off as coaches, TUF 13’s debut wasn’t the runaway success many were predicting. Now the ratings for episode 2 are in, and there can be no doubt: it’s not looking good. TUF 13 Episode 2 actually lost viewers. Here are all the details. ...
Hello once more fans and friends and welcome to another edition of “TUF Talks”, the weekly rundown of the latest episode of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13. Last week’s debut episode saw the formation of teams, the beginning of potential rivalries, and the first fight going to Team Junior dos Santos. With their backs against the wall, can Team Brock Lesnar turn it all around and gain control for the first time in the season? Let’s find out with the latest edition of “TUF Talks”. ...
How successful was the debut episode of “The Ultimate Fighter”? Many fans and insiders speculated that the season’s premiere and the ensuing season would be one of the most-watched of the show’s entire history. Many people pointed to Brock Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, the man who is a Pay-Per-View juggernaut and consistently one of the UFC’s most controversial and talked-about stars, as the main reason why. But in a slightly shocking bit of news, the rating for the “Ultimate Fighter” Season 13 premiere came in at an underwhelming (when put into context) 1.5. Here are all the details. ...
Hello once more fans and friends, it’s my pleasure to welcome you back to “TUF Talks”. “TUF Talks” is my weekly, full recap of the latest episode of the UFC’s popular reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter”. Today’s episode marks the season premiere of the landmark thirteenth season of TUF. With two massive Heavyweights in Junior dos Santos and Brock Lesnar coaching a team of very varied Welterweights, it should be a very interesting season. So let’s dive in with the inaugural edition of “TUF Talks” for “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 13. ...
The highly anticipated first episode of "The Ultimate Fighter" season 13 has now been completed, and there is some immediate fall out from the show. Shamar Bailey, a Strikeforce veteran was recognized as one of the top prospects on the show. And while the coaches recognized his obvious talent, it was Brazilian Junior dos Santos which was able to snatch up Bailey as his first-pick amongst the 14 welterweight would-be hopefuls. And as has been the formula in the past, Dos Santos managed to pit his best fighter against the perceived weak link of Brock Lesnar's team in order to get the ball rolling and remain in control early in the competition. ...
