Twenty-two year old WEC lightweight prospect “Showtime” Anthony Pettis (9-0) and former WEC lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough (17-5) will fight at WEC 44 11 November, Pettis confirmed to Fighters.com.

“Me and Razor Rob will throw down November 11,” said Duke Roufus-trained Pettis.

Pettis’s core martial art is Tae Kwon Do and he runs a TKD school in his hometown of Milwaukee. “I’m sure you will see [my Tae Kwon Do] my next fight,” Pettis promised Fighters.com. “I use My Tae Kwon Do very well in the cage.

“Traditional martial arts are the future of MMA. Look at all the UFC champs right now. They all trained in some form of traditonal martial arts. I think when you grow up doing martial arts, fighting is a way of life. It is esaier to understand other martial arts, such as jiu-jitsu and muay thai.”

Pettis tapped Mike Campbell (6-2) in a triangle choke in his WEC debut at WEC 41 in Sacramento 7 June.

McCullough won a majority decision over former WEC title challenger “Wrecking Ball” Marcus Hicks (11-4) at WEC 39 in Corpus Christi 1 March.

No location has been set for WEC 44.
