UFC welterweight Matt Hughes (41-7) publicly confirmed Wednesday’s Fighters.com report that he recently signed a new UFC contract.

At Matt-Hughes.com, Hughes blogged, “Last week I went out to Vegas and I signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC, which is much like my last contract.”

Fighters.com reported the contract is a four-fight deal that Hughes intends to lead him into retirement.
