Aaron Simpson
- Full Name: Aaron Simpson
The masses know Jason "Mayhem" Miller as the host of MTV's Bully Beatdown. Sure, they realize he's a fighter, but perhaps they're not quite sure just how good he is. Well, they're about to find out in the biggest MMA promotion in the land, as on Saturday UFC officials announced that Miller (24-7) will take on Aaron Simpson (8-2 MMA) at UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber II. ...
ufc “Fight Night 24”, currently scheduled for March 26, 2011, is quickly shaping up to be one of the biggest, most important “Fight Night” specials of quite some time. In the main event, Tito Ortiz will fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a fight that, if Ortiz loses, will likely end up being the last main event Ortiz is ever booked in, the last UFC fight Ortiz ever has, and even perhaps the last fight of Tito Ortiz’s MMA career as a whole. Add in fights like Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson and you’ve got quite an event that’s shaping up. Recently, two new fights have been announced for the event. ...
In a duel between former champions, light heavyweight's Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Lyoto Machida are now officially set to face each other later this month, serving as the headliners for UFC 123. The 11-bout card has been made official by the promotion today, including two-televised Spike TV bouts serving as the lead in for what is shaping up to be a good night of fights. Along with the highly anticipated light heavyweight match up, a pair of former welterweight champion's are set to face one another for a third time in order to put to rest a rivalry that has lasted for over 7 years, when BJ Penn meets UFC Hall of Famer, Matt Hughes in the co-main event of the evening. ...
Once again, I sympathize with UFC matchmaker Joe Silva. On paper, Tom Lawlor vs. Patrick Cote at UFC 121 had all the ingredients for fireworks. Yet, as we see more and more, when you combine a pure puncher with a native wrestler … who is committed to only wrestling, the potential for a sleeper is always close at hand. In baseball it goes ... "good pitching beats good hitting." In MMA should it go ... "good wrestling beats good standup?" ...
The ultra-successful "ufc Prelims" special, which has served as a lead in to the Pay-Per View portion of UFC bouts, will be returning on Nov. 20, when the organization visits Auburn Hills, Mich. for UFC 123. Headlining the nights festivities will be former light heavyweight champions Quinton Jackson and Lyoto Machida in a non-title bout, with a trilogy between former welterweight champions Matt Hughes and BJ Penn being completed that night, serving as the co-main event of the evening. Prior to these bouts, a pair of middleweights and 170-pound fighters will be in action as part of the Spike TV special, which will have the potential to reach 96.1 million people at home in these United States. ...
ufc 123, which takes place at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan, will be host to a great night of fights. While your still wiping away the crust from your eyes after watching UFC 119, try to have something to look forward to. While there are no titles on the line come November, what we do have is an exciting and dynamic night of fights. The UFC just made official today the fight card, which will include a headlining bout pitting former light heavyweight champions Quinton Jackson versus Lyoto Machida, in a contenders bout. ...
While UFC 123 was officially announced today, with a headliner bout pitting former champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Lyoto Machida against one another, the rumor mill keeps seeping in with new bouts being added to this stacked card. In addition to Jackson-Machida and the previously announced BJ Penn vs Matt Hughes trilogy taking place in Detroit alongside one another, two standout wrestlers will be squaring off to remain amongst the best in the ultra-talented middleweight division of the UFC. ...
A fairly new addition to the UFC's already massive exposure to it's fan base, SpikeTV officials were able to confirm in July that there would be a joint venture once again between the promotion and network company, in order to broadcast 2 selected fights, as part of a special "UFC Prelims" feature. SpikeTV officials were able to confirm that the one hour special will two bouts, both in the middleweight division. ...
UFC veteran Goran Reljic, made waves in the UFC in 2008 when he defeated then light heavyweight contender Wilson Gouveia, with second strikes. With an opening like that, which earned both him and Gouveia "Fight of the Night" honors, the sky appeared to be the limit for the Croatian sensation, who has trained alongside legend Mirko "Cro Cop". However, a 2-year lapse would follow where Goran had suffered from a serious back injury, putting him out of commission, and out of the minds and ears of the fans and media alike. ...

The Ultimate Fighter 7 finalist "Doberman" CB Dollaway (8-2) will fight Dan Miller (11-2) at UFC Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City 19 September, according to MMA Madness.
Dollaway suffered a disappointing 55-second tapout loss by guillotine to "Filthy" Tom Lawlor (6-1) at UFC 100 in Las Vegas 11 July.
Miller hung in there with former WEC middleweight champ Chael Sonnen (22-10-1) at UFC 98 in Las Vegas 23 May, but lost by UD.
"A-Train" Aaron Simpson (4-0) will fight Dan Miller (11-2) at UFC Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City 16 September, Simpson confirmed Wednesday night. Simpson TKO'd "Wrecking Machine" Tim McKenzie (10-6) in his UFC debut at Fight Night 18 in Nashville 1 April. Miller lost a unanimous decision to Chael Sonnen (22-10-1) at UFC 98 in Las Vegas 23 May. Simpson was originally scheduled to fight "Short Fuse" Ed Herman (15-7) until Herman replaced injured "Sandman" James Irvin (14-5) versus Wilson Gouveia (12-6) at UFC 102 in Portland 29 August. ...
Undefeated "A-Train" Aaron Simpson (4-0) announced via Facebook his matchup versus Team Quest's "Short Fuse" Ed Herman (15-7) at UFC Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City 16 September. The matchup has not been announced by the UFC. Simpson won his UFC debut over "Wrecking Machine" Tim McKenzie (10-6) at Fight Night 18 in Nashville last April.
