I dont get it when people hate on Dana White. The man freaking established MMA and took it to mainstream society. Him and the Fertita's always made the best matches. Matches that made sense and was relevant to competition. A good example of that is the Diaz Vs GSP that was just made. Dana could have just hated on Nick cause he was from another promotion(yes SF was bought i know). The reason he buys the competition is to bring the best fighters to biggest stage for MMA(UFC). Those who does not want to be part of the revolution(MMA)(UFC)like Fedor was fighting somewhere else.Dont get me wrong im a superfan of Fedor but the fact that dana tried and negotiated to get Fedor and still not get him states that there must be some problems there in his camp. Its the ef-ing UFC that's trying to get him. The reason i think dana is so in control of his fighters is i think as much as we can blame Arum and the other boxing heads for not seeing the Mayweather vs pacman fight. or other great boxing matches that we never got to see.

As a fan of boxing and mma, I see pros and cons in the way both sports are promoted. I'm no fan of Bob Arum either, I do think he has been around for a long time and unfortunately is stuck in the old ways of doing business, which is bad for boxing as a whole. That said, I don't necessarily think Dana White is great for mma anymore. Yes he has brought UFC to where it is today, but he seems to be obsessed with buying out all competition, and ruling as king over his stable of fighters, who are left with little choice but to obey his every whim. At least in boxing, fighters seem to work more as free agents, allowing them to have more control over their own careers (to some extent). Both sports have their pros and cons, I think. But Dana White is being a hypocrite calling Bob Arum greedy. Dana White has more control over the sport of mma than Bob Arum, Don King, and many others put together have over boxing, from what I can tell. That's my opinion, but I'm no expert, just a fan.

Cesar Gracie was not harsh on GSP. He was speaking the truth.

When you are as good and as talented as GSP, you should be finishing every opponent. If you want to be in the same breathe as Anderson Silva, you need to live up to your potential and finish the best in the world just like he does.

Its not that GSP isn't finishing fighters, its that he lacks that killer instict that he lost after being knocked out by Matt Serra. Outside of an armbar on Dan Hardy none of GSP's opponents have been in trouble. GSP just lays on them for five rounds, or jab and runs for the entire fight. Fighters like Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, Carlos Condit, and Nick Diaz always go for the finish. With GSP you know that you will get either a five round dry hump fest or a boring jab and run affair.

Its not that GSP isn’t finishing fighters, its that he lacks that killer instict that he lost after being knocked out by Matt Serra. Outside of an armbar on Dan Hardy none of GSP’s opponents have been in trouble.

I'm going out on a limb here, but somebody must have asked him his thoughts about training with gays, right? I cant imagine he would just throw this out there on his own.
Setup?
This really is a non-issue anyway. It is his personal preference and he is entitled to have it!
He clearly states that, "But what if the gay person has that malice of having physical contact with me, of staying there grappling"? He is just saying that there is a possibility that a gay student, might be a student just for the sole purpose of laying with him! This is just like some women might decide against rolling with a dude, becsause he may want to roll because he is attracted to that situation.

Much ado about nothing, IMO.
Thanks.

I guess the follow up question required is how he feels about training a female student. If he has the same inhibition against training a female student, then his inhibition is sexual and not homosexual.

If he doesn't want to train a female student, then he's guilty of not being able to detach what he does from sexual attraction. And that becomes a different type of prejudice--not a prejudice against homosexuality but simply against anyone that he might find attractive or vice versa.

Did anyone ask him the follow up question?

@Nick Mazza
I agree with you, he is aggressive, relentless, and wants it really bad, but it takes brains and a true warrior inside and sorry to say JDS is really not there yet, I admire him and if he wasn't fighting CV, I'd go for him, cause I like Brazilian fighting style, and diffrent then most Brazilian he fights standing, all that aggression you mention will be his downfall, he is just too eager and lacks the peace and man calmness CV possesses! You'll contact me after the fight, it'd be nice to exchange opinions! Thanks! Look at what happened to Diego Sanchez vs BJ Penn, he wanted it too bad, and his impulsiveness took his internal energy and his game plan and kept attacking the wrong leg, and he didn't get the proper advice from his corner and CV has great mentors at all times, like the rasa that wishes him well, and his corner man!

Many will knock out Juan Manuel Marquez, Mayweather, no doubt, and necessary, Dos Santos as well, all thanks to his Wing Chun, and Jeet Kune Do-boxing moves...not only is he strong, solid, but with a mix of martial arts in his arsenal to combine it with his intelligence and Freddy Roach to guide it!

reply to all, Cain's heart and ambition could potentially over come Dos Santos if he can out speed him to the punch! However, despite all into question I see Cain as the Smarter fighter, and relying if anything at all on pride and himself, let's admitted, he is a little selfish, and he should be. Where Dos Santos relies too much on the striking and the Nogueira's jiujitsu. I say Dos Santos has had a few lucky landed striking shots. Cain is a show man, Dos Santos tries to get rid if them too soon, way too soon, I see him missing the warrior inside, but he is a good fighter.

Hello, Mr.Tejada. Thanks for your response. I invite you, as well as the rest of the people in the forum, to visit my blog ramonsmithkarate.blogspot.com to see some interesting pictures of master Lee, Howard Jackson, among others...and to read a brief biography of my father, Ramon Smith.

Dennis Hallman is one fine figure of a man. With that physique why worry what you are showing. The issue is those with an issue - why are you so interested? Personally the sight of a little bit of scrotum, while of interest, is hardly worth the fuss it has caused. Americans grow up!

Sorry it's late. That came out wrongly. UFC heavyweight was the inbred hand-picked (by Dana) paper tigers. Strikeforce was the international and diverse powerful heavyweight division.

I'm fascinated by the fact that Dana White said if Fedor wanted to prove he was the best fighter he should have fought in UFC. Even in recent history when Fedor was fighting for Strikeforce, the UFC heavyweight division was FAR inferior to Strikeforce' inbred hand-picked paper tigers.

I think Dana White is completely overreacting. It's already a sport where big, sweaty men wrestle and grab each other in shorts that are often not much more than speedos anyway. If you've gotten past that, which most MMA fans have, why is wearing a speedo going too far?
I thought it was ridiculous too, but it's not like this is going to become some sort of new fad. If they want to wear silly looking clothes, I say let them.
