Michael Kuiper Draws Buddy Roberts In Chicago, Caio Magalhaes Injured

Michael Kuiper’ s opponent has changed for a second time, and this time the switch has pushed the fight back a week. Kuiper was supposed to face Thiago Perpetuo on January 19 at UFC on FX 7, but that fight was scratched and Perpetuo was replaced by Caio Magalhaes. We have learned Magalhaes is now off of the card as well, and Buddy Roberts will step in to take the fight. In light of the short notice, UFC brass have moved the bout to January 26 meaning the pair will now fight in Chicago at UFC on FOX 6. The bout will likely appear on the undercard.

MMAJunkie Reports:

Michael Kuiper has lost another opponent, and he’ll now fight on a different card. Kuiper initially was slated to fight Jan. 19 at UFC on FX 7 against Caio Magalhaes, who himself was a replacement for Thiago Perpetuo. However, Magalhaes also is injured, so Kuiper now will fight a week later at UFC on FOX 6, where he meets fellow middleweight Buddy Roberts, UFC officials today announced.
