Hey Dana….the World Cup FINAL is tomorrow. Why don’t you press your nose up against that widescreen of yours and check out the most beautiful sport in the world. While you’re at it…check the stats on just how many people have tuned in. The whole f*cking world’s gonna shut down for 90 minutes while the game’s going on….heck, those fighters of yours won’t be able to get inside the gym because management’s at home with their FAMILY WATCHING THE GAME!!!!!!!

dana white is an idiot…joe rogan is an even bigger idiot. mma’s popularity will or has already reached the plateau. Boxing is better and bigger than mma and i hope boxing will always be more popular than mma. Football and soccer’s popularity shit on mma’s popularity too.

I simply refuse to believe that Dana White is THAT DUMB when he makes a reference to HIS fact that he thinks that the UFC/MMA will one day become bigger than soccer. I couldn’t believe my own ears when I heard him say this!!!! Small things from small minds I guess. Dana, get your facts straight before you go out in front of people and say this kind of remark, it’ll be less embarrassing for you….if you still think they’ll be bigger than soccer one day, try pressing your nose up against your flat screen this month and PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!! You disgust me with those kinds of remarks!!!! Soccer is a WORLD sport, it’s an ETERNAL sport, always has been, always will be………..ACCEPT IT…DEAL WITH IT AND STFU!!!

You touched on it slightly when commenting on soccer, but ethnicity and nationality could also be a factor in MMA. Japanese fans will tend to support Japanese fighters. Brazillian fans will tend to support Brazillian fighters. Of course fan support is not exclusive to ethnicity and/or nationality. I would assume it would be difficult because of the sports violent nature to market Nationality vs. Nationality but If I remember correctly the Marquardt vs. Silva PPV (not the specific fight) had a Canada vs. US theme, and that didn’t get any negative light. Interesting article.
