Strikeforce: Mo Lawal Renews Call For Fedor Emelianenko Fight After Whitehead KO

“King Mo” Muhammed Lawal (5-0) has renewed his call for a matchup versus Fighters.com Heavyweight Champion “Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko (31-1) after Lawal’s impressive first-round stoppage of “Iron” Mike Whitehead (24-7) at Strikeforce in San Jose December 19.

“People talk about this guy is unbeatable,” Lawal told Sherdog.  “Anybody can be beat in any sport.”

Lawal fought Whitehead at heavyweight, what Lawal called the “money weight”, and indicated he’d fight in whichever division makes sense and “makes dollars.”

The same night, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said Emelianenko was like to fight ninth-ranked “Vai Cavalo” Fabricio Werdum (12-4-1) on CBS in April.

Mo Lawal doesn’t deserve a title match up with Fedor, hell, he doesn’t even deserve to be called “king”. 5 more fights under your belt and then you’ll still have to grab a ticket and wait just like everyone else!

With Werdum out, who else is Fedor going to fight? We won’t be seeing Overeem any time soon. SF has no other heavyweights- it’s too bad Souza isn’t a little bigger. Mo just made a name for himself – he’d help draw ratings for CBS. Give him what he wants – put him in there with Fedor. He’ll get a beat down and we’ll see how he reacts.

King Mo would get his ass dropped. He doesn’t deserve to mention the name Fedor let alone get fight him. 5-0 record and he’s ready? LOL what a joke.

King Mo is a bigger joke than Brett “the Grim” Rogers.

actually would be fun to see King Mo fight some decent competition. I’d be happy to see King Mo fight Brett Rogers for example
