UFC 108: Duane Ludwig Will Replace Sean Sherk Versus Jim Miller
By: Chad Edward Posted On: December 18, 2009 at 2:09pmFighters.com’s ninth-ranked lightweight “Muscle Shark” Sean Sherk (33-4-1) has withdrawn from a matchup versus “Mongoose” Jim Miller (15-2) at UFC 108 in Las Vegas January 2, according to MMA Weekly.
MMa Weekly reported “Bang” Duane Ludwig (19-9) will replace Sherk versus Miller.
Sherk himself was a replacement for Tyson Griffin (14-2), but Sherk suffered a cut over his right eye while training that required stitches.
Ludwig will enter the Octagon for the first time since leaving with a bang, knocking out Jonathan Goulet (22-10) in 11 seconds at Fight Night 3 in Las Vegas in 2006.
Ludwig submitted “Tetetete” Ryan Roberts (10-9) on punches at Ring of Fire 36 in Denver December 4.
Miller won a TKO 45-seconds into round two at UFC 103 in Dallas September 19 when Steve Lopez (2-2) injured his shoulder in his Octagon debut.
