Bellator Wraps Up Season 7 with Strong Ratings

For two weeks in a row Bellator had to cancel a feature fight during the broadcast. When it happened the week before, the ratings numbers dropped like a  stone, and the promotion put up one of the lowest numbers in history. Despite the Marcin Held-Dave Jansen fight being pulled from thie past weekend’s effort, the pendulum swung the other way this past Friday night at Bellator 84 with regards to the ratings. The show almost doubled the viewers of Bellator 83  with 191,000 not to mention came on a night the UFC also held a card.

MMAJunkie reported:

This past weekend’s Bellator 84 event was the second-highest rated show for the promotion’s seventh season on MTV2. The broadcast averaged 191,000 viewers, which is nearly double the average of Bellator 83′s 105,000. It’s also the promotion’s best since Bellator 79, which averaged 220,000 viewers for a season high.
