Former light heavyweight Stanislav Nedkov has decided to drop down to middleweight after what was very close to becoming his first loss as a professional. Nedkov is technically undefeated but it is only because Thiago Silva tested positive for marijuana metabolites after the two threw down and a submission loss was turned over to a No Contest.
Nedkov might have seen the stumble as a warning sign, cutting to 185 pounds where he will take on Tom Watson at UFC on Fuel 7. Watson made his UFC debut in September but dropped a Split Decision to Brad Tavares.
