UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson takes place December 15 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland, Australia, but because of the time difference the event will  broadcast on December 14. Fighters.com will be bringing you all of the play by play action and results as you can handle as TUF Smashes coaches George Sotiropoulos and Ross Pearson raise cain in the main event. The event will also feature the tournament finals for the The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes. Smashes finalists Robert Whittaker and Brad Scott will  tussle to crown the welterweight winner and Colin Fletcher and Norman Parke will scrap to decide the lightweight season victor.  Join Fighters.com this Friday and we will make sure  you don’t go into shock when  you realize WEC announcer Joe Martinez is the announcer and not Bruce Buffer.

Main Card (FX)
George Sotiropoulos vs. Ross Pearson

Round 1
Pearson coming forward early in the fight and is looking to keep Sotiropoulos on the outside. Pearson lands a big right hook and is wobbled on his legs. Sotiropoulos shooting in for a takedown but Pearson not having it. Sotiropoulos on his bike and Pearson is walking him down, but Sotiropoulos is slowly recovering. A leg kick buckles Sotiropoulos but Pearson let him up. Pearson walking in with his hands down, no respect for Sotiropoulos’ strikes. Sotiropoulos gets the takedown, and switches to his back. Sotiropoulos looking for the RNC but Pearson shakes him off.

Round 2
Pearson takes the center but Sotiropoulos is staying in his face. Pearson still stalking Sotiropoulos but he is  mainly only throwing to the body one shot at a time. Pearson swinging for the fences, but Sotiropoulos is seeing them come. Sotiropoulos now playing the counter puncher and keeping Pearson at bay. Sotiropoulos is definitely coming around and is settling into the fight. He gets sloppy and  Pearson lands a left hook that drops Sotiropoulos but he pops right back up, and they are back to trading.

Round 3
Sotiropoulos takes the center and Pearson lands a left hook and drops Sotiropoulos. He pops back up, but Pearson presses the action. Pearson lands a solid combination and Sotiropoulos was on his bike, and Pearson throws a left right down the middle that stuns Sotiropoulos. Pearson swarms and lands a shot to the body that drops Sotiropoulos and Pearson starts to land shots.

Robert Whittaker vs. Brad Scott

Round 1
Scott coming forward early but Whittaker starts loosening  up landing leg kicks. Scott clinches on the fence with Whittaker and Whittaker defends the takedown. Whittaker now looking to counter Scott’s punches and its working. Whittaker misses with a right hand and Scott uses it to clinch, but not fr long. Whittaker lands a punch that sends Scott to butt his, and Whittaker swarms in for the kill. He lands some shots from guard but Scott scrambles up. Scott is now clinching Whittaker on the fence and  landing  more dirty boxing. Whittaker seems to have Scott timed, but they trade shots as the bell sounds.

Round 2
Scott lands an early few punches and presses forward looking for the clinch. Whittaker looks to be the fresher fighter and lands a nice hand that catches Scott. Whittaker lands a shot south of the border and the action is stopped. Whittaker looking to counter and he is now working  his kicks into the game more. Scott clinches and then drags Whittaker to the floor, and sneaks up on his back. Scott landing shots from back mount and sneaks in the hooks. Up against the fence he  lands shots looking to open Whittaker. Whittaker scrambles up but gets put back up against the fence. Whittaker lands a nice flurry to end the round.

Round 3
Scott coming forward now but Whittaker rushes in and lands a solid combination. Scott using his jab well, but Whittaker seems to be the fresher fighter. Whittaker lands a slick elbow on the inside. Scott coming forward but Whittaker is really counting on landing that counter. Both exchanging combinations, but Whittaker seems to be landing the harder shots. Scott is still scoring repeatedly with his jab, but Whittaker returns fire with a decent head kick. Toe to toe stuff happening in the  third round with a minute left. Whittaker presses forward with another flurry but Scott is staying calm and exchanging. They are both swinging for the fences as the bell sounds.

Colin Fletcher vs. Norman Parke

Round 1
Parke looking to clinch early, but Fletcher is tying up his arms so he can’t dive for the take down. Clinching on the fence now, Parke is trying to get the fight down. Parke gets the takedown, but Fletcher is already threatening from his back with submissions. Parke is remaining heavy on top. Parke doing very little on top besides a few elbows. Parke moves into side mount, but Fletcher scrambles and ends up on top in side mount with 30 seconds left.

Round 2
Fletcher looking to land early but  Parke closes the distance and gets the takedown.  Fletcher rolls for a submission, but Parke ends up on top in side mount. Parke rolls for a guillotine, but Parke uses it to get to mount. Fletcher gives up his back and uses it to get up and escape. Fletcher beginning to land kicks and Parke lands a big left hand. Parke lands a big combinaton but Fletcher handles it and comes forward. At the ten second mark Parke gets the take down.

Round 3
Both come  out swing and Fletcher is fighting with urgency and Parke lands a solid combination. Fletcher is jumping in and out and landing strikes. Parke coming forward and landing a solid combination, but Fletcher comes back and lands a bunch of his own. Parke cuts open Fletcher eye and Parke just won’t let up. Fletcher’s corner is screaming he needs the finish, and he  throws some elbows. Fletcher coming forward now but Parke is hanging in there tough. Fletcher gets reckless and gets taken down in the last 30 seconds, he fights to get  up just  in time for the bell to sound.

Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares

Round 1
Lombard coming forward early and landing kicks, and Palhares already on his bike. Palhares lands a big leg kick but Lombard is still pressuring. Lombard clearly looking for the ko as Palhares slips but he lets him up. Lombard is landing body kicks and looking for his left hook. Lombard lands that big hook and drops Palhares to the mat. Lombard swarms and lands strikes. Lombard lets him up and Palhares is bleeding from the eye. Lombard opens up on Palhares and lands a vicious combination that had Palhares folded over. Palhares dropped and Lombard finished him from standing guard.

Chad Mendes vs. Yaotzin Meza

Mendes goes right to work with the leg kicks. Meza is showing  some nerves in his motion and Mendes is walking him down. Meza had his chin almost straight  up when Mendes lands an overhand right that sends Meza to the floor. Mendes lands 3 or 4 shots and finishes the short notice fighter.

Igor Pokrajac vs. Joey Beltran

Round 1
Beltran dirty boxing Pokrajac early in the fight, and is clinching him on the cage. Beltran is still trying to smother him, but Pokrajac is staying calm. Beltran lands a flurry of uppercuts, and changes levels for a takedown he doesn’t get. its rinse wash repeat for Beltran, he creates space throws a bunch f strikes and right back into the clinch of Pokrajac. Beltran lands 7 consecutive hooks to the body, and  it wakes up Pokrajac. Pokrajac now pushing Beltran on  the fence working  knees.

Round 2
Pokrajac stalking early, and landing leg kicks. Pokrajac is starting to time  Beltran and landing strikes. He lands a big flurry, and closes the distance for the clinch. Pokrajac working  on the knees again of Beltran from the clinch. Beltran reverses the position and Pokrajac is on the fence. Beltran is controlling Pokrajac on the fence and is working knees. Beltran lands a strike to the groin of Pokrajac. Beltran starts landing a big flurry that has Pokrajac backing up and looking like he is in danger, but Pokrajac never drops so Beltran pushes him on the fence.

Round 3
Pokrajac lands a head kick early that Beltran shrugs off, and Beltran now clinches him on the fence. Pokrajac is just not able to create space. Pokrajac lands a huge counter on Beltran, and stumbled him. Pokrajac starts landing at will, but Beltran lands a counter that has Pokrajac diving for a takedown. Beltran now clinching Pokrajac up against the fence. Beltran gets Pokrajac in a front headlock and lands a few knees. They create space and start swinging for the fences, both landing big shots as the bell rings.

Mike Pierce vs. Seth Baczynski

Round 1
Pierce right away grabs a double leg takedown and takes down Baczynski, but Baczynski is keeping him wrapped up tight. Baczynski uses the cage to stand up but pierce stays on top of him as they grapple along the fence. Fighters get space, and they feel each other out a bit. Pierce catches a kick and puts Baczynski on his back. Baczynski sneaks up to his feet, but gets put right back on his back. Pierce isn’t doing much with these takedowns, but he is landing some short strikes.

Round 2
Baczynski trying to figure out the reach early in this round, but Pierce grabs a hold of him and gets a big takedown. Baczynski gets back to his feet using the cage, but Pierce is not letting him off the hook. Baczynski creates some space, and tries a knee that Pierce grabs. Baczynski begins to open up a bit, but Pierce dives in and gets the takedown. Baczynski pops back up, but Pierce still pressuring. Fighters break up and Baczynski is trying to put the strikes together, but Pierce closes the distance. Baczynski throws a random knee and slips and Pierce jumps in his guard and goes to work.

Round 3
Pierce closes the distance early, but Baczynski starts opening up and turning on the strikes of Pierce. Baczynski is starting to mark up Pierce now, and now Baczynski is stopping the takedowns. Pierce dives in, and does get one. Pierce goes to work from guard. Baczynski is landing plenty of strikes from his back. Pierce isn’t doing anything and the ref stands them up. Surprise, Pierce gets another takedown.

Ben Alloway vs. Manuel Rodriguez

Round 1
Rodriguez dives right in for the double leg on Alloway, and almost gets it. Alloway uses the cage to get up but Rodriguez is leaving no room for him. Rodriguez gets him back down and moves to half guard. Some fancy grappling going on and Rodriguez moves into side mount, and then to the back of Alloway. Alloway scrambles up, but its Rodriguez putting on a grappling clinic. Alloway gets up and has Rodriguez up against the fence. They separate and finally start throwing punches. Alloway catches a kick to the groin, and they break in the action. Rodriguez back out and they start swinging and Rodriguez dives in for a takedown. On the way in Rodriguez eats a front kick to the jaw, and drops. Alloway swarms in and finishes the fight at the buzzer.

Brendanz Loughnane vs. Mike Wilkinson

Round 1
Wilkinson is coming forward earlier and clearly the shorter fighter. Loughnane beginning to loosen up with leg kicks. Loughnane is really going to town on the lead leg of Wilkinson, and keeping him on the outside. Loughnane is basically doing the strike and bike, and Wilkinson dives in for the takedown and gets it. Wilkinson landing elbows as he starts to land elbows from full guard. Loughnane looking for a scramble but the pressure from Wilkinson is pretty solid. Loughnane works to his feet, and creates space. Wilkinson looking tired and Loughnane is tearing into the lead leg of Wilkinson.

Round 2
Loughnane is right back to keeping Wilkinson on the outside, and one of them lit a fire under Wilkinson. He swarms Loughnane and lands two or three solid shots and then clinches him on the fence. Loughnane lands an uppercut, and opens up a cut on Wilkinson’s right eye. The leg kick attack from Loughnane is paying dividends as Wilkinson is slowing down with his strikes. Wilkinson is the one coming forward though. Loughnane is now setting up his strikes with his kicks and Wilkinson dives in for the takedown, but doesn’t get it. Both fighters are trading one shot at a time, but its Loughnane who is landing the harder shots. Wilkinson clinches up against the fence, they trade strikes as the bell rings.

Round 3
Loughnane comes out swinging, and is looking to keep Wilkinson on the outside. Wilkinson catches a finger in the eye, and stops the action. Loughnane is definitely turning it on now, and Wilkinson is swinging at a lot of air. Wilkinson dives in for a takedown but Loughnane stops the takedown. Wilkinson is still coming forward but its Loughnane landing the harder shots. Wilkinson back in trying to get another takedown, but Loughnane isn’t happening. Loughnane reverses the clinch and is kneeing Wilkinson up on the cage. Loughnane is bleeding bad, but hard to tell where. Loughnane lands a big right hand that drops Wilkinson, and Loughnane works from the top. Wilkinson scrambles back up and dives in for the takedown. Loughnane now clinching Wilkinson, they separate and trade shots until the bell sounds.

Nick Penner vs. Cody Donovan

Round 1

Penner swinging early, but its Donovan who clinches him up on the fence and working some knees. Donovan swarms in, and Penner catches him with a left that drops Donovan. Penner now working from full guard and Donovan throws up a triangle choke and uses it to stand up in transition.  Donovan comes in again, and Penner lands a huge uppercut that floors Donovan again. Penner jumps into his ½ guard, and works dome punches. Donovan scrambles up, and Penner is still looking for the counter. Penner catches  a kick to the groin, time out. Donovan bulls in for a takedown, and gets it to move to half guard. Penner scrambles up, but Donovan makes him pay. Donovan lands a hook that drops Penner this time, Donovan swarms in and finishes him punches from guard.
