When Forrest Griffin pulled out of his UFC 155 fight with Phil Davis the original plan was to find a replacement for Davis, but since “Mr. Wonderful” was already a replacement for Chael Sonnen, the UFC just scrapped the fight altogether. Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon got bumped up to the main card, but it still left one slot open on the PPV.
As such, a bout between middleweights Chris Leben-Karlos Vemola has been moved up to fill the void. The bout marks Leben’s first fight back after being suspended for a year for testing positive for PEDs.
MMAJunkie reported:
A middleweight bout between Chris Leben (22-8 MMA, 12-7 UFC) and Karlos Vemola (9-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has taken the final spot on this month’s UFC 155 pay-per-view main card… UFC 155 takes place Dec. 29 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In addition to the PPV main card, FX and Facebook carry the prelims.

Leben is walking a weird line right now in his career.
man, i hope chris is straight…. dude makes bad decisions constantly..
I’m torn. On one hand, Leben is always fun to watch. On the other, he’s a multiple-time offender on the drug front.
should have been main card anyway…
