At UFC 154 the blood, sweat, and tears were still pooling on the Octagon floor when Rory MacDonald grabbed the mic from Joe Rogan and called out former welterweight #1 contender Carlos Condit.
In response, Condit’s camp said they’ve never turned down a fight with the “Natural Born Killer” eventually coming forward to let the world know he was in. Now MacDonald is saying that the fight is on and he expects it to go down on March 16 in Montreal at UFC 158. Condit (28-6) is the only man to defeat MacDonald (14-1), finishing the 23-year old with strikes with seven seconds left in the third round at UFC 115.
MMAJunkie reported:
MacDonald said he’s been granted the rematch with Condit, and UFC President Dana White confirmed the booking…. Though the UFC has not officially announced that show, sources close to the event said it will be UFC 158, a pay-per-view. The placement of the MacDonald-Condit fight was not revealed, though it will be positioned on the main card.
