Lou D’Ermilio, the Senior Vice President of Communications at FOXSports, Tweeted out the official ratings of UFC on FOX 5. The event took place this past Saturday in Seattle, Washington at the Key Arena, and was broadcast in primetime on the network.
From tone of D’Ermilio’s Tweets, FOX seems to be more than happy with the numbers coming from the fifth event the UFC has done on broadcast giant. According to D’Ermilio, the average number of viewers was up 83% and in the key demographics of males ages 18-34 and males 18-49 they did a 3.5 and 4.0 share respectively. The main event, which was a title fight between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz averaged 5.7 million viewers.
D’Ermilio Tweeted:
-Henderson-Diaz portion avgd 5.7 mill viewers & solid demo ratings (3.5, M18-34 & 4.0 M18-49) that would rank it among top shows of week.
-Big rebound. @UFCONFOX 5 attracted 4.4 million viewers Sat nite, +83% compared to UFCONFOX 3 & 4 (2.4 mill each). #UFC
