By: Chad Edward Posted On: December 9, 2009 at 11:40pmUFC welterweight prospects “McLovin” Dustin Hazelett (11-4) of America and “Semtex” Paul Daley (19-9-2) of England will matchup in Las Vegas January 2, according to MMA Weekly.
Hazelett will replace former WEC welterweight champion “Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (23-5).
Hazelett will return from surgery on a torn right ACL. At UFC 91 in Las Vegas last November, he tapped fellow lanky, young welterweight talent “Barn Cat” Tamdan McCrory (11-3) in an arm bar in the first round. Hazelett was scheduled to return versus “Heat” Karo Parisyan (18-5) at UFC 106 in Las Vegas November 21, but Parisyan bailed on the fight at the last moment.
Daley TKO’d Xtreme Couture’s “Hitman” Martin Kampmann (15-3) at 2:31 of round one in Daley’s UFC debut at UFC 103 in Dallas September 19.
