Initial UFC On FOX 5 Ratings Released

The  first round of ratings numbers are back for the UFC On FOX 5 event that took place this past Saturday night in Seattle.  This was arguably the best constructed Fox card the promotion has done to date, and the first one to have a title fight since they debuted last year, so the UFC was expecting solid numbers. It looks like they got them.

The first numbers back were from TVbytheNumbers, and it had FOX network winning the key 18-49 demographic. Overall the event did an average of 3.41 million viewers, but those are initial numbers that don’t include the time that UFC  went over. When those numbers start being released on Tuesday, those estimates are expected to go up. They also reported that the program reported a 5 share  which seems very high since the first UFC On FOX card did a 3.5 share.

Lou D’Ermilio from FOX tweeted out their initial numbers, “Last nite, @UFCONFOX 5 posted 2.8 overnight, +65% better than UFC on FOX 4; best overnight for @UFCONFOX since 3.5 for No. 1.” While a huge drop compared to the other numbers above, a 2.8 is a very respectable number for the time and event. FOX will be happy with those numbers.

The official numbers should be released this coming Tuesday or Wednesday and Fighters.com will make sure you know as soon as we do.
