Head Trainer Says Georges St-Pierre Wants to Fight Anderson Silva

A super-fight between pound-for-pound studs Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva appears to be one step closer to becoming reality rather than rumor. Though nothing official has surfaced, one of GSP’s most trusted sources has come forward to reveal he’s spoken to the UFC welterweight champ who indicated a showdown with Silva was an appealing thought.

According to Firas Zahabi, who coaches St-Pierre at TriStar MMA, “Rush” is down to rumble with Silva but made it clear fans shouldn’t get TOO excited just yet…

“He told me yes. But I think there’s a lot to be negotiated. I don’t know much more than that.”

“After a fight like that (against Condit), he needs time off.”

I won’t be convinced until I see an actual match-up made.

I tend to agree with your take Titan, though St-Pierre’s wrestling and Silva’s inability to get up from the ground could make things really interesting.
