Dominick Cruz: “I’m in a rough spot right now…” (Video)

As we reported yesterday on Fighters.com, Dominick Cruz spoke out for the first time since the news broke that he had surgery and would be out for possibly another year. Specifically, the bantamweight champion went into detail about the nature of the injury, how it happened, and how he would feel if the UFC stripped him of his title in a recent interview with UFC Tonight.

Cruz admitted he was in rough spot right now in his life, but it has been the outreach of the fans that has kept him thinking positive about the whole experience. The UFC has announced that current interim champion Renan Barao would defend his title against Michael MacDonald, but no decision has been made as to the future of Cruz’s belt…

Reminds you that fighters are just people too. Weird to see a relative bad ass get choked up.
