It looks like heavyweight Mark Hunt (8-7) will be making his return to Japan in the coming months after establishing himself as a force in PRIDE. The K-1 kickboxer has been linked to a bout with seven-footer Stefan Struve (25-5) at UFC on Fuel 8.
The card is set for March 2 in Saitama, Japan. No bouts have been officially attached to the UFC’s return to the Far East, though Diego Sanchez-Takanori Gomi has been hinted at.
Hunt is on a three-fight winning streak including finishes of Ben Rothwell and Cheick Kongo, while Struve has put together a solid run as well with a quartet of consecutive stoppages against the likes of Pat Barry, Lavar Johnson, Dave Herman, and Stipe Miocic. Based on their recent success, it is likely the tilt will put one man within a win of a crack at the divisional championship.

I love how Hunt could have taken the money and ran but honored his PRIDE contract when Zuffa took over.
Struve is the better fighter but I can see Hunt getting a knockout.
Love this match-up! WAR HUNT!
