Fighters.com’s sixth-ranked light heavyweight “Rampage” Quinton Jackson (28-7) has ended his retirement and vows to return to the UFC “to shut Rashad’s mouth up & shut Dana’s mouth up.”

The announcement was made on Jackson’s website Thursday.

Jackson had been matched versus fourth-ranked “Sugar” Rashad Evans (13-1-1) for UFC 107 in Jackson’s hometown of Memphis December 12 and the pair coached on the recently concluded tenth season of SpikeTV’s The Ultimate Fighter; but, Jackson landed the role of BA Baracus in the forthcoming “A-Team” movie and pulled out of the fight.

UFC President Dana White began criticizing Jackson for taking the acting gig over the fight versus Evans in Jackson’s hometown.  Jackson accused White of releasing false information about Jackson’s payment for the film.

On September 22, Jackson posted on his website, “I feel like my second career could be in jeopardy…so I’m done fighting.  I’ve been getting negative reviews from the dumb ass fans that don’t pay my bills or put my kids through college.  So, I’m hanging it up.”

Of course, Fighters.com never doubted Jackson was bluffing his retirement; and, what better time for Jackson to announce his return than during a big stretch of consecutive UFC events beginning Saturday in Las Vegas with The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale and followed up in Memphis, where Jackson and Evans were to settle their score.

Good, we need more fighters to hang around to just mess with Dana. I don’t see why Rampage was thinking of retirement anyways…

Nobody that knows anything could have actually thought that Rampage was retiring.

This is a fight i cant wait to see. Everyone knows that both fighters can talk smack to on another and that just makes it even better. Go Rampage

Rampage is a loser and he proved it on the show.. he picked the worst team ..then he blamed them for losing and gave up on them..he walked away when his fighters lost and was more interested in arguing with Rashad. I lost any respect I had for him (and I didnt have alot to begin with) He was supposed to be a coach and a mento to his team. He only proved that he is a piece of garbage that crawled out of a junk yard. I hope Dana White has the brains to tell him.. Goodbye…

Y’all are gonna lose like you did on Ultimate Fighter. Rashad is gonna kick Rampage in his mouth, then KO him. Then Big Country will come in and crucifix him like Kimbo and pound his dark pigmented head. Poor Rampage….. He’ll wish he’d stayed retired.

Dude, give it up. One, Silva is in light heavyweight now, and GSP never changes from welterweight, and two, Silva now has no honor b/c he trains with Machida, the ex-light heavyweight champ. Shogun will retain his title coming soon.
