Dan Hardy Won’t Be Fighting at UFC’s February Return to London

After a string of stumbles it looked like UFC welterweight Dan Hardy could be headed for free agency. However, the organization gave him another shot based on his propensity for putting on a good show and “The Outlaw” proved their faith was not misplaced, picking up back-to-back wins in his last two tilts.

With his last fight involving an outpointing of Amir Sadollah this past September, Hardy was rumored to be a featured player at the UFC’s February 16 show in London, England given his British heritage. Unfortunately, that will not be the case, as the 30-year old recently responded to a challenge from fellow 170er Siyar Bahadurzada by revealing he wasn’t an option for the outing.

“Sorry mate, I won’t be ready to fight in February. Enjoy fighting in London though, the UK fans are always great.”

So much for having a British fighter headline the card.
