It wasn’t long ago the biggest feud in MMA involved UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and former title-holder Rashad Evans. In addition to the professional end of their rivalry, Evans and Jones trained together at Greg Jackson’s gym, introducing some personal stakes into the matter when Evans ultimately left the camp after feeling betrayed.
Though each had a number of nasty things to say about the other leading up to a bout in April, after the two locked horns it seemed the score had been settled. In fact, both men hinted at the possibility of fences being mended in the future. However, given some recent remarks from Jones it looks like that won’t be the case after all…
“I have no intention of ever rekindling a relationship with Rashad. After all we’ve gone through, you can’t undo what’s been done. We have no reason to reconnect. Rashad is conniving and manipulative.”
