Roger Gracie Linked to January Fight Against Anthony Smith

Accomplished grappler Roger Gracie appears to be the latest fighter added to Strikeforce’s upcoming show on January 12. Though not officially confirmed, Gracie has been linked to a match-up with Anthony Smith where he’ll attempt to win his second straight fight since dipping down to middleweight.

The bout between Gracie-Smith joins a lineup already featuring appearances from Nate Marquardt, Gegard Mousasi, Josh Barnett, and Daniel Cormier.

Gracie has lived up to his last name with BJJ mastery on the mat as well as inside the cage. He holds an overall record of 5-1 with four submissions and victories over Kevin Randleman, Trevor Prangley, and Keith Jardine.

Comparably, Smith is 17-8 with sixteen stoppages and is currently on a three-fight winning streak.
