Todd Duffee was looking for a fight, and was close to signing with another promotion when he got the call from the UFC, when he was offered a tussle with Philip De Fries at UFC 155. You don’t get many second chances when it comes to dealing with UFC President Dana White, who said he had an attitude problem when he announced he was cut, but Duffee jumped at the opportunity to fill in for Matt Mitrione who was shuffled over to fight Roy Nelson in place of Shane Carwin. Duffee says he has learned from his mistakes he made when he was cut from the promotion, and is now looking forward to reminding people he is as dangerous as his UFC seven second knockout win says he is.
Duffee told MMAFighting:
“The moment I got the phone call, I dropped everything else and said, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’ No hesitation, no nothing. Here we are now, I’m super excited. Let’s be honest, I’ve only fought twice since I left… here I am and I have an opportunity to earn my way back with a win on December 29th.”
How does everyone think Duffee will do back in the UFC?
