Raphael Assuncao steps in to fight Mike Easton

Now and again a fight turns into a matchmakers nightmare, and the bout turns into a game of ‘musical-chairs.’ Mike Easton (13-1) was set to fight TJ Dillashaw, but TJ pulled out with an injury and Bryan Caraway stepped into take the fight. Caraway has now stepped aside with an injury and Raphael Assuncao (18-4) has tagged in to face Easton. This might be one  of those situations where things worked out for the better for the fans, but one thing is certain, UFC on FOX 5 is a solid lineup up for free fights already.

UFC on FOX 5 takes place Dec. 8 at KeyArena in Seattle. The Assuncao-Easton bantamweight fight is expected be part of the Facebook-streamed preliminary card following additional preliminary bouts on Facebook and prior to the night’s main card on FOX.
