UFC 110: Georges St. Pierre Versus Dan Hardy Probable, Silva vs. Akiyama Uncertain, Lytle v Kim Reported
By: Chad Edward Posted On: November 21, 2009 at 9:36amThe forthcoming UFC title fight between Fighters.com and UFC Welterweight Champion “Rush” Georges St. Pierre (19-2) and tenth-ranked “Outlaw” Dan Hardy (23-6) might land in Sydney at UFC 110 February 21, UFC President Dana White hinted to MMA Junkie Radio Friday night.
White told MMA Junkie Radio that the matchup would occur in February, but not at UFC 109 in Las Vegas February 6. That leaves only UFC 110 available.
White also told MMA Junkie radio that the previously rumoured matchup between tenth-ranked middleweight “Sexyama” Yoshihiro Akiyama (14-2) and “Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva (33-10-1) might not occur at UFC 110 as thought.
“That one might change. We’re moving some things around and doing some stuff,” White said.
AOL Fanhouse reported Friday that welterweights “Lights Out” Chris Lytle (27-17-5) and “Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim (9-4-1) will fight at UFC 110.
Lytle won a three-round unanimous decision over Kevin Burns (7-3) at The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale in Las Vegas June 20.
Kim won a three-round UD over T.J. Grant (12-2) at UFC 100 in Las Vegas July 11.
