Koscheck: Winning is the most important task at hand for me right now.
By: Selina "Dead" Wong Posted On: November 21, 2008 at 3:14amFighters.com’s fourth-ranked welterweight Josh Koscheck (11-3) told Fighters.com at American Kickboxing Academy Thursday afternoon, “I don’t really care about any of that other crap that’s going on out there and what the problem is. I’m just focused on winning and we’ll deal with all that later. I have spoken to Dana White and I prefer to focus on my fight.”

Koscheck was unwilling to weigh-in on the situation involving his AKA teammates, fifth-ranked welterweight Jon Fitch (17-5) and “Hungarian Nightmare” Christian Wellisch (8-4) being cut from the UFC, and potentially being cut himself along with heavyweight Cain Velasquez (4-0) because of their hesitation to sign away their lifetime likeness rights for a UFC video game.
Fitch has resolved the situation and returned to the UFC; and, Wellisch told Fighters.com Thursday that he expects to resolve the situation too.
Koscheck preferred instead to focus on his upcoming fight versus ninth-ranked “Zenko” Yoshiyuki Yoshida (10-2) at UFN 16 in Fayetteville 10 December.
“Basically the situation that happened right now with the whole Jon Fitch and the AKA thing and the UFC, I’m not going to comment on anything until after my fight because I’m prepared to win my fight and focus on that. That’s the most important task at hand for me right now.”

Koshcheck even sounds arrogant when he is trying to be civil. LOL …
I can see how Koscheck can come off as arrogant, and I’ve definitely seen video of him being arrogant, but he actually wasn’t that way yesterday. He just stated that he’d prefer not to comment on the situation.
Fair enough, I say.
Since you and Josh get along so well, I think you’re permanently assigned to covering him.
