After Georges St-Pierre’s fight with Carlos Condit at UFC 154, the welterweight champion didn’t seem very excited about a superfight with Anderson Silva. GSP basically said he wanted to consult with his trainers before he even thought about the fight. Firas Zahabi, St-Pierre’s main trainer at Tri-Star Gym has finally commented on the fight MMA fans are clamoring for and, according to him he wants Silva as light as possible if the fight ever materializes.
Zahabi told MMAFighting:
“I wouldn’t want [St-Pierre] to move up, I’d want Anderson to come down. I don’t know if Anderson can make 170 or something close to that. If Georges goes up, I know he won’t be able to come back down, he’s told me many times if he goes up he won’t go back down, and I believe him ….
“You know, the thing is, the next day he’ll balloon up over 200, and I don’t think that’s fair,” Zahabi said. ” I don’t think that’s a fair fight. If he can make the cut to 170, that would be great. Georges has to fight everyone at 170, and that’s the case. Really I think it would be even and fair.”

such a great fight, silva takes it tho
This fight should only happen if BOTH fighters want it…. other wise, everyone should just go run their own divisions
there is no way this fight ever lives up to its expectations if it goes down… way too much hype.
dont be scared GSP! fight andy silver!
