As we reported last week, UFC Featherweight Eddie Yagin had a normal day of training for his UFC on FOX 5 bout against Dennis Siver. Yagin complained of headaches that night, and wasn’t feeling right the next day so he saw his doctor. Yagin was hospitalized with swelling around his brain, and was forced off the December 8 card. The good news is Fighters.com has spoken with Yagin’s manager, and and has learned he is home recovering.
“Eddie has been released from the hospital,” said Jason House of Iridium Sports Agency. “Basically he is on bed rest, until his head fully heals.” Obviously they are paying attention to Yagin, and taking the injury seriously, but Yagin could be back sooner than everyone thought. According to House, if everything goes as planned, “By the new year he should be back it and going strong.”
Make sure you go and send The Filipino Phenom a tweet @eddieyaginmma and wish him well!
