UFC announces two fights for January FX event

Less than a week removed from their initial offering through FOX, the UFC has already turned its attention towards January when the official agreement between the two companies kicks in to promote a live event on FX.
While a specific date and location have not been pinned down, the UFC has revealed two of the scraps scheduled for the show with one match-up featuring Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft and the other involving Josh Neer vs. Duane Ludwig.
Barry will give up seven inches of height to Morecraft though the size difference shouldn’t phase him after taking on 6’11” Stefan Struve last month. On a more serious note, the affable kickboxer will likely be competing for his job when he faces Morecraft after losing three of his last four fights with the same being true of his 7-2 adversary who has fallen in two of his last three in-appearances.
Barry: “Sometimes, You’re Just Gonna Get Hit…”
The FX-bound welterweights have fared a bit better than their larger counterparts as of late with “The Dentist” winning his last five and Ludwig coming off a pair of victories over Nick Osipczak and Amir Sadollah. However, similarly to the heavyweights, the likelihood of a stoppage is high in their encounter as they’ve combined to finish 44 of the 53 opponents they’ve collectively beaten.
More information about the card, including the main event, is expected to be announced in the coming days.
