Georges St-Pierre: “I never really watched a woman fight”; it’s hard for me”

It took UFC President Dana White a while to come around to the idea of having women in the octagon, but it sounds like it will take Georges St-Pierre isn’t quite as excited as the outspoken CEO. St-Pierre told media he doesn’t enjoy watching women fighting.

GSP told MMAMania.com “For the woman fight, I say it’s good for her, and I mean for the girls that fight, but me personally I have a hard time watching the girls fight.”

St-Pierre explained how he shared the same opinion as many MMA fans. He didn’t like seeing women hurt, or hurting each other. “In my heart I have, you know, it’s the way I grew up maybe, the mentality is different, I’m old school…I have a hard time watching girls fighting; it’s hard for me. I never really watched a woman fight, but I know they are pretty good.”

GSP defends his title this weekend against Interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit at UFC 154.
