Once again the UFC is setting up a solid card of fights for UFC 156. UFC officials have confirmed today that welterweights Jon Fitch and Demian Maia will climb into the Octagon at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada for UFC’s annual Superbowl card.
Maia is riding a two fight win streak since moving down to welterweight. He is rolling off of a neck crank win over Rick Story at UFC 153 and a TKO over Dong Hyun Kim UFC 148. Fitch is on a rebound win over Erick Silva at UFC 153, but was knocked out for the first time since 2002 when Johnny Hendricks finished him 12 seconds into their UFC 141 fight.
In the main event, Jose Aldo will defend his featherweight title against Frankie Edgar, and light heavyweights Rashad Evans and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira are set to square off as well.

Fitch better be careful with his takedowns. Could end up in a Triangle or Guillotine.
I think Maia will take it. Fitch has put himself in some bad positions submission-wise his last few fights. Maia should seal the deal.
this one depends on Maia…Fitch’s fight to lose tho
I think Maia takes it… tough one to call tho
fun fight…odds will be close..
