Gray Maynard Injured, Jim Miller will fight Joe Lauzon at UFC 155

You thought we were done with Injuries today didn’t you? Minutes after Dana White tweeted that Carwin would be out of his TUF 16 fight Nelson, news broke that Gray Maynard is injured and out of his UFC 155 fight against Joe Lauzon. Jim Miller will step in to take the fight that is scheduled to be on the main card of the pay per view. This is the first time Miller will be in the octagon since he lost his title fight with current lightweight champion Benson Henderson.

The nature of Maynard’s injury is unknown at the time of publication.

UFC 155 is the UFC’s annual New Years Card and will take place Dec. 29 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. The main event will be a heavyweight title fight between defending champion Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez. The bout is a rematch of their fight that was on the UFC’s first card on FOX. Dos Santos won the fight by knockout in 64 seconds, and took the title he still holds from Velasquez.
