Anderson Silva says he will not challenge Georges St-Pierre if he wins at UFC 154

A bout between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and current welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has been a dream fight fans have been drooling over for years. The UFC has finally warmed up to the idea and has said that if GSP gets the win over Carlos Condit at UFC 154, a sincere effort will be made to book the match-up. It was announced last week that Silva will be cage side in Montreal, and UFC brass confirmed that if GSP won Silva would enter to the cage to challenge St-Pierre to the fight. However, “The Spider” is now saying that fans shouldn’t expect to see him in the Octagon after the main event.

Silva told

“I’m going to Los Angeles and then go to Canada for the fight of Saint Pierre, and then I’m already there to shoot a movie, a feature film that I’ll participate in with Lyoto Machida. It’s an action movie,” he says.”Is not my character to up and challenge anyone. I think it will not happen. I think not, I’m sure (laughs).”
