United Kingdom MMA promotion Cage Wars will return to Belfast November 29 with veteran UFC lightweight “No Love” Rich Clementi‘s (33-15-1) name on the marquee at Kings Hall.
Clementi tapped out much-hyped UFC prospect “Rumble” Anthony Johnson (8-2) in rear naked choke at UFC 76 in Los Angeles in September 2007, beginning a four-fight win streak that brought him close to a title shot. But, Clementi’s rise was halted after a unanimous decision loss to currently fifth-ranked “Bully” Gray Maynard (8-0) at UFC 90 outside of Chicago in October 2008 and Clementi soon departed from the big show.
In Belfast, Clementi will be returning from a loss to Kyle Jensen (36-11-2) during which Clementi broke his clavicle.
Clementi’s opponent is Chris Stringer (4-6-1). Stringer is also coming into the fight looking to rebound from a loss to Aaron Wilkinson (1-1) by unanimous decision OMMAC 2 in Liverpool October 3.
Also on the card, English stud Che Mills (8-2) will matchup versus Colin McKee (0-0).
Mills has a stoppage victory over DREAM welterweight champion “Whitemare” Marius Zaromskis (12-2) at Cage Rage 26 in May 2008 and won a unanimous decision over Edgelson Lua (1-2) at BAMMA 1 June 27.
Lee McKibbin (0-4) and “Machine” John Lober (4-7-4) will also matchup on the undercard.
