The hits keep on coming for Bellator. Earlier in the week it was announced that Tito Ortiz was injured and out of the main event of their pay per view, and was then turned into a free card on Spike TV. Bellator Heavyweight finalists Vinicius Queiroz and Cheick Kongo were set to fight on that card as well, but it was announced later that it would be moved to Bellator 107’s main event. According to reports the fight has been scrapped altogether as Queiroz has injured his ACL and had to stop training. Bellator hasn’t made any announcements about the injury or who they may have Kongo fight.
Vinicius Queiroz told MMAFighting:
“I was really excited to fight Kongo, but I injured my knee and won’t be able to fight now. I’m devastated.”
