Tony Ferguson fighting Yves Edwards at TUF 14 Finale

Ultimate Fighter 13 winner Tony Ferguson has drawn another accomplished veteran for his next in-ring test after disposing of Aaron Riley in prompt fashion last month at UFC 135.

According to an official announcement from the UFC, Ferguson has agreed to face Yves Edwards on December 3 at the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale as part of a lineup featuring the crowning of bantamweight/featherweight winners as well as a battle between coaches Jason Miller and Michael Bisping.

Ferguson is 2-0 inside the Octagon including his season-winning performance against Ramsey Nijem and stoppage of Riley, a loss brought on after “El Cucuy” broke his jaw rendering Riley unable to compete beyond the bout’s opening round. The 27-year old Ferguson holds an overall record of 12-2 including eleven finishes.

Ferguson is TUF 13 Finale’s Top Performer

In Edwards he will be facing an opponent with more than 4X his experience who is 3-1 in his last four UFC fights. The “Thugjitsu Master” was last seen stopping Rafaello Oliveira earlier this month at UFC Live 6. The victory marked the 41st of his career with Oliveira joining the likes of Riley, Hermes Franca, Luis Palamino, Rich Clementi, and Josh Thomson in terms of foes Edwards has felled.

No other match-ups have been announced for the card though it is likely a number of the pairings will involve competitors on the current season of TUF.
