Rogers and Buentello Expected to Face Off in November

Buentello at Affliction press conference. “The Grim” Brett Rogers (8-0) and “Headhunter” Paul Buentello (26-10) have agreed to fight at EliteXC’s 8 November event in Reno, Rogers’s trainer confirmed to Five Ounces of Pain Wednesday.

Rogers TKO’d his last opponent, Jon Murphy (4-3), at 1:01 of the first round in May.

Buentello last fought at Affliction’s debut event in July, where he won a unanimous decision over “Big Daddy” Gary Goodridge (23-18-1).

Fighters.com interviewed Rogers in Minneapolis-St. Paul 25 September. Rogers said then that he was waiting on a fight versus “Kimbo Slice” Kevin Ferguson (3-1), but hoped to fight in November.
