The UFC has made it official. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will put his title on the line against Glover Teixeira at UFC 169. However, for the first time in years, the annual Superbowl card will NOT be in Las Vegas. The UFC announced that the two will square off at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
In the co main event, Heavyweights Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem will go toe to toe. The two were scheduled to meet at UFC 167 at the UFC’s 20th anniversary show, but according to sources the UFC wanted to give Mir more time to recover from his knockout loss to Josh Barnett.
