Mike Thomas Brown vs Jose Aldo, Gamburyan vs Garcia Announced for WEC 44

WEC featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown (18-4) will defend his title from Nova Uniao’s “Junior” Jose Aldo (14-1) at WEC 44 in Las Vegas November 18, the WEC announced.
American Top Team’s Brown rematched “California Kid” Urijah Faber (22-3) WEC 41 in Sacramento June 7, defeating the former champion again.
Aldo knocked out Cub Swanson in eight seconds at WEC 41.
WEC 44 will also feature featherweights “Bad Boy” Leonard Garcia (13-4) and Manvel Gamburyan (9-5) squaring off in a matchup of former UFC fighters.
“Bab Boy” won a three-round split decision over “Real Deal” Jameel Massouh (17-6) at WEC 42.
Gamburyan won a three-round unanimous decision over John Franchi (5-1) at WEC 41.
WEC 44 will take place at The Pearl at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas November 18.
